Nile Delta Book Award

I just learned that THE BOY WHO GREW A FOREST: The True Story of Jadav Payeng has won the 2021-22 Nile Delta Book Award! This is a huge honor, and I am incredibly grateful. But what is even more amazing to me is how much this little book continues to leave its mark on young readers. I am in awe of Jadav Payeng's determination and commitment to our planet. When I wrote this book, my only hope was that at least one reader might feel that same spark and carry it. I'm so thankful to those who continue to celebrate and share Jadav's story with others. May we all leave this planet greener than we found it.
