SCBWI Crystal Kite Award
When I stumbled upon the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators almost a decade ago, I never could have imagined this moment. I have just learned that The Boy Who Grew A Forest has won a 2020 SCBWI Crystal Kite Award for the Southeast region.
This award is voted on by my peers and means a great deal to me. Through this community, I have learned so much over the years about writing, the literary industry, and friendship. I am stunned and incredibly grateful for this honor. Thank you to my friends and fellow authors! Plant on!
